I am an avid lover and explorer of character design, backstories and i am in line to pursue a career in animation where I can bring my drawings to life. ive been practicing short animations around concept ideas, and the most recent one ive been working on I\u2019m calling \u2018regeneration\u2019.<\/p>

\u2018Regeneration\u2019 shows a persons head falling off and then a new head sprouting form the neck through intertwining tentacles. There is no hiding my love for horror and this idea has let me harness that love very cleverly, because its not so gory that everyone cant watch it, but its just that bit too discomforting that everyone will love it. Which I love, I never want to create art that everyone finds perfect, everything has imperfections.<\/p>

Animating tentacles is surprisingly difficult but I think I found a way around it - first draw the line that the tentacle will follow, and dont think of them as 2d, have them wrap around each other to add to the strangeness of movement. I\u2019ve only completed the sketch so far, and its only 7 seconds long, but I am quite proud of it. Can\u2019t wait to add colour.<\/p>

Music is also a big part of creating my art pieces - certain genres of music will shift my interest to draw something specific. For example, heavy metal will prompt me to draw something dark and\/or intense, and pop music will make something more mellow and sweet. My music taste is quite diverse and spans from death metal to bubbly K-pop. I am a very big fan of K-pop\u2026 I have yet to go to any concerts though, more focusing on studies and art.<\/p>
